My first exhibition independent and solo exhibition
The work of Lucian Freud influenced me to paint portraits.
During a year out after school I organised my first independent and first solo exhibition. I was also invited back to be my school's first ever Artist In Residence. I was awarded a dedicated painting area, painting daily to set an example to students. I also performed duties as a teaching assistant which included being available to answer questions and guiding students to find their personal artistic journey.
To offer a suggestion one day and receive them the next day full of excitement from what they discovered - a uniquely rewarding experience.
