Mindscapes, Landscapes and Animals
The instinctive nature of painting, enabling the release of all the experiences and knowledge gathered up to that point in my life onto the canvas, resonates with me. There's a primal quality to it, reminiscent of prehistoric artworks like the Altamira Cave Paintings in Spain and Lascaux in France.

Circling back (Orbs of The Now)
The chocolate embellishing tool mark documented in a sketchbook back in 2013, a genesis ingredient for this project, emerge organically from ‘pot’ style shapes like an organic growth of plant stem into flower bud. The ‘pot’ shapes first appeared in a series of 2020 acrylic paintings, an example shown below on the left side of the second image (shapes floating on ultramine blue).
